Housekeeper
About The Position
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Housekeeper and help maintain a clean and safe environment in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The Housekeeper performs routine cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility, follows infection control and safety procedures, maintains cleaning records, and reports maintenance or safety concerns. The position involves regular interaction with residents, staff, and guests and requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks and work around cleaning products.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Be able to work around cleaning products.
- Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices.
- Clean and sanitize all areas according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
