About The Position

Provides a superior level of cleaning quality in assigned areas to maintain a clean working environment. The role involves cleaning patient rooms, offices, surgery suites, and other designated areas within the Carle organization, while following appropriate cleaning, chemical-handling, biohazard-disposal, infection-control, and hand-hygiene procedures. Housekeeping duties must account for the special needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

Clean patient rooms, offices, and other designated areas using proper cleaning techniques and procedures.
Handle chemicals appropriately and dispose of biohazard spills.
Perform housekeeping duties with the special needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in mind.
Follow proper infection-control techniques and hand-hygiene practices.
Use disinfectants in critical areas, including surgery suites.
