Housekeeper ( AM Shift )
About The Position
Glen Park Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a supportive, healthy, and comfortable environment for residents. The Housekeeper cleans, sanitizes, and maintains private residences or commercial buildings to meet housekeeping and sanitation requirements. The ideal candidate has cleaning experience, can work independently or occasionally as part of a team, and is well-spoken, energetic, and personable. This is an in-person position at Glen Park at Valley Village, 5527 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Valley Village, CA 91607. The listed AM shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; flexibility is required because schedules may vary based on business needs.
Requirements
- Live-Scan fingerprint clearance.
- CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Negative TB test and health screening.
- Knowledge of and experience in cleaning and sanitizing rooms to varying levels to meet requirements.
- Willingness to learn new cleaning methods and how to use various pieces of equipment.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate customer needs.
- Ability to accept criticism.
- Listening skills to ensure client cleanliness and sanitation needs are met.
- Good customer service skills.
- Reliability, organizational skills, integrity, honesty, and high energy levels.
- Flexibility to accommodate schedules that may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain private residences or commercial buildings to meet housekeeping and sanitation requirements and provide a comfortable space for residents or employees.
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, showers or bathtubs, countertops, and sinks.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Wash windows and blinds.
- Vacuum and clean carpets and rugs.
- Sweep, vacuum, polish, and mop hard floors.
- Sort, wash, load, and unload laundry; iron clothing items.
- Use cleaning equipment, including vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools.
- Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies.
- Clean mirrors and other glass surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste.
- Steam and clean draperies.
- Tidy rooms.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and order more as needed.
- Report necessary repairs or replacements.
