About The Position
At Joyous Ventures, we are committed to providing immediate support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or crisis. Through our dedicated Social Services Team, we help participants navigate available resources and access comprehensive care. We assist with: Securing healthcare services (medical home, dental care, wellness programs), Linkages to mental health and substance abuse support, Guidance with benefits enrollment (health insurance, income support), On-site counseling, therapy, support groups, and assistance with emotional well-being and relationship challenges, Life skills development to foster independence, Community reintegration through social activities and connections, Transportation and accompaniment services, Additional support to achieve long-term housing stability. These services are crucial in promoting the well-being, empowerment, and resilience of our participants—strengthening the broader community in the process. Join our Team: Housekeeper. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families experiencing homelessness, while working in a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping experience
- Recent Physical and TB Report within the past year
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- BLS/CPR Certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping experience in a residential or institutional setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean facility including lobbies, corridors, stairways, offices, meeting rooms, staff lounge, eating areas, and kitchen
- Daily cleaning of all facility restrooms, including restocking of paper products and hand soap as needed
- Daily inspection and cleaning of the kitchen, wiping down counters as needed
- Assist in building security, locking all doors and windows, and shutting off interior lights when working the late shift
- Maintain inventory of supplies, informing management when orders need to be placed
- Ensures that properties always meet standards to pass Federal, State and Local inspections
- Coordinates utilities checks, fire drills and other checks/repairs as needed or required to maintain facility compliance with Federal, State and Local inspections
