Part Time Housekeeper The Residence at Stafford
About The Position
LCB Senior Living is hiring a Housekeeper at The Residence at Stafford. The role is responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms and residence common areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, and disposing of waste appropriately. The Housekeeper performs all responsibilities professionally and ethically in keeping with LCB’s values, and helps maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for residents, visitors, and coworkers. The position also involves positively representing the community to residents, visitors, potential residents, families, professionals, coworkers, and the surrounding community. The Housekeeper attends required orientations and in-service training, handles linens, maintains housekeeping carts, and may cover other positions when needed. The role is part-time, with per-diem availability also listed.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances.
- Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards.
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and carry objects.
- Ability to push and pull carts and to walk, sit, and stand continuously as required by tasks.
- Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height.
- Ability to use good body mechanics and safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks while being considerate of residents, visitors, and workers in the area.
- Must project a positive attitude toward the service provided.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a health care or hospitality setting preferred.
- Appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, coworkers, and the surrounding community.
- Represent the community positively and interact with potential residents, family members, and professionals to support community occupancy.
- Clean bathrooms, including toilets, vanities, sinks, showers, shower seats, and floors.
- Clean kitchen areas, wipe counters and surfaces beneath objects, and mop kitchen floors.
- Empty wastebaskets and replace bags.
- Dust and polish surfaces, and wipe windowsills, woodwork, and counters.
- Clean carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
- Clean common areas and common bathrooms daily and as often as needed.
- Keep housekeeping carts clean and orderly.
- Remove, fold, and return bed linens; wash and fold linens.
- Clean and wash windows and clean and dust blinds.
- Perform general outdoor pickup as needed.
- Attend required in-service training and orientations.
- Fill in for other positions when needed.
- Perform other assigned or requested duties.
