About The Position
Chicago Behavioral Hospital is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper to join their team. The Housekeeper provides completes daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas while ensuring a safe and risk-preventative environment within The Joint Commission, CMS, State, and OSHA standards and regulations. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, taking out trash, ensuring adequate linens, cleaning areas with disinfectants, refilling supplies, and maintaining clean and orderly supply closets. Additionally, cleaning supplies and equipment must be stored safely when not in use and kept away from patient access.
Requirements
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year experience in housekeeping field.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient room, office and public areas.
- Vacuum, dust, mope, sweep, and take out the trash.
- Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the facility.
- Clean areas with disinfectants.
- Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.).
- Assures that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stores when not in use and away from patients access when in use.
