About The Position

Allegro Fort Lauderdale is hiring a Full-Time Housekeeper with hotel or senior living public areas experience to join our housekeeping team. This is a role for someone who knows how to operate cleaning machinery, takes pride in immaculate spaces, and understands that a clean, welcoming environment makes a real difference for the residents who call this community home. The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is to clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in as well as to clean occupied apartments on a weekly basis or as scheduled, follow the cleaning schedule outlined for the cleaning of the common areas of the Community, and assure that the highest degree of cleanliness is always maintained.

Requirements

Experience in public areas housekeeping in a hotel or ALF setting
Ability to operate commercial cleaning machinery
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Should be familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, spray bottles, and with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain public areas, resident apartments, common spaces, and community amenities to the highest standard
Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all areas are consistently fresh, clean, and welcoming throughout every shift
Follow infection control and sanitation protocols throughout every shift
Restock supplies and report maintenance concerns as needed
Be a warm, respectful presence to residents and families throughout your shift
Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Clean occupied apartments, respite and guest apartments as scheduled using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Detail clean halls and other common areas as scheduled or when requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Keep inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure an adequate supply. Report items needed to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Keep laundry rooms and housekeeping/linen rooms clean and organized. Clean lint from dryer lint traps daily and clean area behind washer & dryer equipment weekly.
