About The Position

McMenamins Olympic Club is hiring a Housekeeper. The Housekeeper cleans and maintains hotel rooms in a timely manner to ensure guest rooms are clean and pleasant. The role is accountable for finished rooms and cleaning projects, and requires knowledge of company policies and procedures related to housekeeping. Housekeepers also provide excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers. They may assist maintenance or front-desk staff as needed, help guests with items such as ironing boards and cribs, and answer questions.

This position requires mental agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Housekeepers should be able to work independently and as part of a team. The posting describes an open and flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Previous housekeeping experience is a plus, but training is available. The wage is $18.00–$21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel rooms in a timely manner.
• Prepare rooms daily, change bed linens, maintain linen closets, clean toilets, sinks, and showers, and clean floors.
• Take responsibility for completed rooms and cleaning projects.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to housekeeping.
• Provide excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers.
• Help maintenance (janitorial) staff or support the front desk as needed.
• Assist guests with requests, such as providing ironing boards or cribs, and answer their questions.
