About The Position
The Housekeeper provides a superior level of cleaning quality in assigned areas to maintain a clean working environment. This role includes cleaning specialty areas in a healthcare setting and following life-safety, infection-control, and biohazard-handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Clean specialty areas including NICU, L&D, CCU, ED, and OR.
- Perform light floor care, including buffing and spotting carpet.
- Follow procedures for life safety codes.
- Clean chemical and medicine spills, including those involving USP 800.
- Use AIDET in patient rooms.
- Apply infection-control techniques and proper hand hygiene.
- Handle biohazards, including sharps and biohazardous body-fluid spills, safely.
