Housekeeper - Day Shift
About The Position
Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living is hiring a Housekeeper for its gated retirement community in Short Pump, Virginia. The role involves cleaning resident homes in Independent Living or resident rooms in the nursing home, as well as maintaining cleanliness throughout the community. All clients are located within the community, so no travel is involved. The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Compensation is $17.00–$17.50 per hour, based on experience. Avery Point is a 94-acre continuing care retirement community managed by Erickson Senior Living. Requirements
- Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal.
- Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, and trash removal equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
- Ability to safely operate housekeeping vehicles.
- Ability to interact professionally and responsively with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Clean residents’ homes in Independent Living or resident rooms in the nursing home.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the community using specialized equipment.
- Clean public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, and fixtures.
- Clean lobbies and living rooms by vacuuming, dusting, decluttering, removing trash, and spot-cleaning walls, windows, switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, and HVAC vents.
- Clean classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning whiteboards or chalkboards, tables, and chairs.
- Collect, bag, and dispose of trash, and replace trashcan liners.
- Maintain carpeted surfaces through extraction, interim cleaning, spot cleaning, drying, and vacuuming.
