About The Position
Poplar Springs Hospital is a 183-bed acute care and residential facility that has been providing behavioral and psychological treatment for adults and adolescents for over 30 years. The facility offers acute programs, adolescent residential programs, and programs for active duty military. Located in Petersburg, Virginia, the serene, nature-like setting on 25 acres is designed to offer patients a sense of calm and peace, providing hope through a nurturing environment for adults and adolescents to flourish. Requirements
- High school education or GED required
- Must have basic reading and writing skills
- Must be able to meet physical requirements
- 21 years of age
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, sanitary, attractive, and safe rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures and utilizing approved methodology and solutions.
- Assist the department and hospital in meeting state and local health codes and hospital quality and accreditation standards through procedures that ensure acceptable standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Perform routine cleaning of windows, walls, floors, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Dispose of ordinary and contaminated refuse.
- Disinfect contaminated areas.
- Perform bacteriological surface cleaning.
- Adhere to pertinent infection control procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
