About The Position

The Environmental Services / House Keeper - Floor Tech is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and laundry tasks in accordance with established work routines and under the directions of the Environmental Service Manager. This role also performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the routine upkeep, maintenance, and repair to the physical plant, building, grounds, and equipment, under the general direction of the Plant Operations Director. The goal is to achieve excellence in total facility appearance while working within safety structures during all tasks. The position requires availability for an 8-business day orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions and prior EVS experience in a medical setting is required for consideration. A background check and drug screen are also necessary. This is a full-time position requiring reliable staff.

Requirements

Must have availability to attend an 8-business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions.
Prior EVS experience in a medical setting/environment is required on resume for consideration.
Background check & Drug Screen required.
Need reliable, full-time staff.
Ability to read and implement written instructions.
Ability to understand and implement oral instructions.
Knowledge in routine maintenance and complete floor care at a medical facility, including but not limited to carpeting, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, general mechanics, and gardening.
Ability to stand, bend, walk, climb a 6-foot ladder, lift up to 75 pounds and to withstand the physical strains from the use of all required equipment.
Ability to measure the proper solutions as related to the specific task.
Ability to operate the floor machine, auto scrubber, vacuum, extraction equipment, washer, and dryer, lawn mowers, other gardening equipment and any other equipment necessary to perform the assigned task.
Basic Computer skills.
Valid HS Diploma/GED Required.
Previous Environmental Services / House Keeper experience in a medical environment required.
Must handle various cleaning solvents and chemicals in accordance with established safety regulations.
Uses safety precautions in all housekeeping services.

Responsibilities

Performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the routine upkeep, maintenance, and repair to the physical plant, building, grounds, and equipment.
Working to achieve excellence in total facility appearance.
Working within safety structures while performing all tasks.
Maintaining facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition.
Responsible for daily disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
Handling various cleaning solvents and chemicals in accordance with established safety regulations.
Using safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
Assisting with housekeeping duties as necessary or assigned.
Performing all other duties as required or assigned.
