The Housekeeper is responsible for daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk-preventive environment within OSHA and Infection Control regulations. This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and may involve overtime and flexible hours. The position involves performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining adequate linens, cleaning with disinfectants, refilling supplies, and ensuring the appearance of floors. The Housekeeper must keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored, assist the Housekeeping Supervisor and Manager, and report any situations affecting the health and well-being of patients or employees. A key aspect of the role is assuring a safe and risk-preventive environment and complying with infection control, OSHA, and Safety/Risk Management regulations. The Housekeeper is expected to use time constructively, address others respectfully, assist in emergencies, and adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including attending mandatory in-services and maintaining confidentiality. The essential job functions are not limited to the listed duties, and the employee may be called upon to complete other tasks as assigned.
