About The Position

Valiant Residential is seeking a Housekeeper responsible for cleaning vacant units in preparation for marketing and occupancy, as well as property common areas, offices, and model units. The housekeeper reports to the maintenance or business manager and collaborates closely with the maintenance staff. Requirements

  • Willingness to perform all required tasks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of work safety habits.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to professionally represent the company.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Able to work on call (as necessary and/or an emergency arises) and extended hours (including after-hours and weekends).
  • Ability to organize & prioritize work.
  • Social skills in order to interact with residents.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, climb, and stoop for up to 8 hours or more if needed.
  • Must be able to walk the property for up to 8 hours (or more) in various weather conditions.
  • Must have the ability to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Cleans the property business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments, and property common areas on a defined schedule.
  • Cleans vacant apartment units in preparation for showing and occupancy.
  • Report any maintenance problems to the supervisor.
  • Assists with inventory control.
  • Performs job duties using safety guidelines and reports obstacles to doing so.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Make ready units for new move-ins.
  • Check appliances and inform Lead Maintenance of problems.
  • Make keys when necessary.
  • Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs and replacements.
  • Change A/C filters.
  • Operate Carpet cleaning equipment to clean carpets.
  • Lend assistance during trash-out of the apartment, e.g., moving heavy/bulky items to the dumpster.
