About The Position

The Housekeeper performs scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing residences and community spaces, handling laundry, and maintaining housekeeping carts and supplies. The position requires effective communication in English and the ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals, with potential exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander. The role may require standing, walking, reaching, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations. The schedule is assigned and includes some weekends, evenings, and holidays. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
Ability to perform movements including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize residences and their contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bathroom fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
Clean resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas in the community.
Assist with cleaning and refurbishing residences when they become vacant.
Wash, dry, fold, and store community and resident linens and other laundry.
Coordinate the delivery and return of resident laundry.
Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized.
Stock carts with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
