About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting their independence and dignity. The role includes supporting resident safety and personal care, following assignments made by the charge nurse, assisting with transfers and meals, responding to call lights, and documenting care in electronic medical records using PointClickCare. The position is full-time at Focused Care at Linden in Linden, Texas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas.
Good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry.
Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents.
Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Ensure resident safety.
Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb residents’ hair, dress residents appropriately, and provide nail care to assigned residents.
Follow the resident assignment schedule established by the charge nurse.
Lift, move, and transfer residents as required.
Answer call lights in a timely manner.
Assist residents with eating or feed them.
Keep residents clean and dry by providing toileting or incontinence care.
Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents.
Use electronic medical record charting with PointClickCare.
Perform other duties as assigned.
