About The Position

The First Shift Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of a premier luxury shopping mall. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and pride in maintaining an upscale shopping environment. The housekeeper maintains public restrooms, entrances, corridors, seating areas, and other common areas throughout the day, working proactively and discreetly around shoppers, retailers, mall management, and guests. The position involves routine and detail cleaning, restroom inspections and restocking, floor care, waste disposal, prompt response to spills, and frequent walkthroughs to identify and address deficiencies. The housekeeper must use cleaning products and equipment safely, protect high-end finishes by following approved procedures, keep equipment and janitorial areas organized, complete assigned checklists, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and supply shortages. The role reports to the Manager/Supervisor.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in commercial housekeeping, hospitality, luxury retail, or high-end property maintenance.
Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, chemical safety, and the care of different flooring and surface materials.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and presentation throughout all assigned mall areas.
Clean, sanitize, inspect, and restock public restrooms.
Maintain entrances, lobbies, corridors, walkways, and other high-visibility areas.
Clean glass, mirrors, stainless steel, polished surfaces, furniture, fixtures, displays, railings, ledges, and seating.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors using appropriate products and procedures for each material and finish.
Maintain food court seating, common-area tables, and other public spaces.
Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and keep waste disposal areas orderly.
Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and immediate cleaning needs.
Conduct frequent walkthroughs and correct cleaning deficiencies.
Interact courteously and professionally with shoppers, tenants, vendors, and property management while working discreetly around guests and retailers.
Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and according to established procedures.
Use approved cleaning methods and products to protect high-end finishes, including marble, terrazzo, natural stone, polished metal, and specialty flooring.
Report maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, supply shortages, and unusual conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
Keep cleaning carts, equipment, and janitorial closets clean and organized.
Complete assigned checklists, inspections, and daily tasks according to company and property standards.
Perform additional housekeeping and detail-cleaning duties as assigned.
Follow company policies, property procedures, and safety requirements, and communicate operational needs or unresolved concerns to the supervisory team.
