About The Position

The Housekeeper supports and assists with environmental service projects and initiatives, helping ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors in the clinic. The role contributes to projects such as deep cleaning, renovations, and equipment maintenance, while also performing routine cleaning tasks. The position follows cleaning protocols, infection-control guidelines, and safety procedures, and coordinates with Environmental Services and other departments to minimize disruption to patient care. Patient care is not required.

Requirements

Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a related field; 1–2 years preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection-control practices, and safety procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
Ability to lift and carry loads of 35 pounds or more with an assisted device.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing environmental service projects, including deep cleaning, renovations, and equipment maintenance.
Follow project schedules and task assignments to complete work within designated timelines.
Coordinate project activities with the Environmental Services team and other departments to minimize disruption to patient care.
Perform routine cleaning, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting assigned areas.
Follow established cleaning protocols, infection-control guidelines, and safety procedures.
Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to maintain cleanliness standards and help prevent the spread of infections.
