About The Position

The Housekeeper cleans assigned areas at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital according to established procedures and infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Duties include cleaning floors, surfaces, sinks, commodes, showers, and beds; removing trash and dirty linen; replenishing linens and supplies; preparing housekeeping carts and work areas for the next service period; and maintaining equipment and reporting broken equipment to a supervisor. The role also performs other related duties as assigned. This is a full-time position at Texas Health Arlington, 800 W. Randol Mill Road, Arlington, Texas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends. The department is fast-paced and high-volume and offers teamwork, mentorship, comprehensive training, and dedicated leadership resources.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and be flexible in assignments.
Ability to work around housekeeping chemicals.
Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned areas according to procedures and infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust; remove trash and dirty linen; and clean sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds.
Replenish linens and supplies such as paper towels, trash bags, and toilet tissue in assigned areas.
Restock housekeeping carts or assigned areas to prepare for the next service period.
Keep equipment clean and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
