About The Position

Perform day-to-day housekeeping and laundry functions as assigned. This includes cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, floors, walls, and ceilings. The role also involves discarding waste, cleaning vacant rooms, and ensuring the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Requirements

Ability to perform day-to-day housekeeping/laundry functions as assigned.
Ability to perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Ability to clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident and recreational areas.
Ability to clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
Ability to clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
Ability to clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc.
Ability to set up appropriate caution/safety signs prior to performing duties.
Ability to clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
Ability to clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
Ability to remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
Ability to clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
Ability to discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
Ability to clean vacant rooms as assigned.
Ability to ensure that areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
Ability to discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
Ability to follow work/cleaning schedules as closely as practical.
Ability to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
