About The Position

Joyous Ventures is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at its facility, including living areas, common spaces, bathrooms, and the kitchen, as well as performing related duties. The role requires attention to equipment and chemical safety and strong communication skills when interacting with staff and participants. The Housekeeper helps support individuals and families experiencing homelessness or crisis in a supportive team environment. The position is based in person in North Hollywood, California. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday. Pay is $17.87–$18.50 per hour.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of housekeeping experience.
Recent physical and TB report from within the past year.
Ability to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
BLS/CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience in a residential or institutional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean facility areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairways, offices, meeting rooms, staff lounge, eating areas, and kitchen.
Clean all facility restrooms daily and restock paper products and hand soap as needed.
Inspect and clean the kitchen daily, wiping down counters as needed.
When working the late shift, assist with building security by locking doors and windows and shutting off interior lights.
Maintain supply inventory and inform management when orders need to be placed.
Ensure properties meet standards for Federal, State, and Local inspections.
Coordinate utility checks, fire drills, and other checks or repairs as needed or required to maintain facility compliance with Federal, State, and Local inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
