About The Position
The Housekeeper performs commercial cleaning at Central Jersey College Prep in Somerset, New Jersey, using ServiceMaster TBS Division task schedules, products, tools, and procedures. Duties include emptying trash; dusting furniture and exposed surfaces; cleaning glass and mirrors; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; vacuuming and mopping floors; and completing weekly detailed cleaning. Personal protective equipment must be used where required. On-the-job training is provided to people with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The hourly pay rate is $16.00.
Requirements
- Arrive at the work location at the scheduled time and work within allotted hours.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Show respect and understanding for coworkers and customers, and contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude.
- Wear the proper uniform at all times.
- Be able to distinguish between cleaning products and their uses.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Be able to perform constant standing, walking, pushing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks according to ServiceMaster TBS Division's commercial cleaning task schedules.
- Empty trash.
- Dust furniture, including desks, chairs, and tables, and exposed surfaces such as window sills, ledges, and moldings.
- Clean glass and mirrors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
- Vacuum and mop floors.
- Perform weekly detailed cleaning.
- Use personal protective equipment where required.
- Complete special requests communicated by the client in the company log.
