About The Position

PARC Retirement Living is seeking a Housekeeper to join their Westerleigh PARC team in West Vancouver. PARC communities are designed for active seniors, providing inspiring spaces for residents to live well and engage with a vibrant community. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning resident suites and common areas to create a safe, tidy, and pleasant environment. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing suites, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and common areas according to a schedule, performing laundry services for residents, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, maintaining the housekeeping room and equipment, and managing cleaning chemicals safely.

Requirements

At least two years of similar experience in the hospitality or senior-living industry.
Completed Grade 10 high school education or equivalent.
Completed the WHMIS program.
Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to the highest cleaning standards.
Able to self-direct and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Understanding and respect for the needs of seniors, their families, and other professional services engaged with residents.
Criminal Record Check required.
TB test required within the first month of employment.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and sanitizing suites, bathrooms, kitchens, floors and common areas according to a pre-set schedule.
Performing laundry services for residents as needed.
Identifying, reporting and logging potential maintenance issues to management.
Maintaining the housekeeping room, equipment and carts in safe and sanitary condition.
Replenishing housekeeping carts and managing cleaning chemicals safely.
