About The Position

A welcoming private household located in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and well-organized Housekeeper to support the day-to-day care and upkeep of the residence, on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for general housekeeping and laundry while also assisting with household organization, pet care, deliveries, household supplies, meal preparation, and light cooking. This position is well suited to someone who takes pride in creating a clean, comfortable, and well-organized home and who enjoys taking initiative in a varied household role.

Requirements

Several years of professional housekeeping experience, preferably within a private household.
Strong housekeeping, laundry, and home organization skills.
Comfortable assisting with meal preparation and light cooking.
Comfortable caring for household pets.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, anticipate household needs, and manage priorities effectively.
Dependable, punctual, discreet, and trustworthy.
Warm, respectful, and service-oriented approach.
Flexibility and willingness to assist with a variety of household responsibilities.
Valid driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Perform general housekeeping and maintain all areas of the residence to a high standard of cleanliness.
Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and other household spaces.
Dust, vacuum, mop, and care for floors and household surfaces.
Make beds and change bed linens as required.
Perform periodic deep cleaning and other household cleaning tasks as needed.
Maintain an organized, tidy, and welcoming home environment.
Assist with decluttering and organizing household spaces.
Organize closets and wardrobes and help maintain clothing and personal belongings in good order.
Wash, dry, fold, and properly store clothing, linens, and household textiles.
Iron or steam clothing and linens as required.
Follow appropriate care instructions for garments and delicate items.
Maintain laundry areas and supplies in an organized manner.
Receive deliveries and ensure items are properly unpacked, organized, and stored.
Monitor household supplies and advise when replenishment is required.
Help maintain the organization of cupboards, pantries, storage areas, and other household spaces.
Assist with various household tasks and errands as required.
Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
Prepare simple meals and light dishes according to the household's preferences.
Maintain the kitchen, refrigerator, pantry, and food-storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
Assist with grocery organization and proper food storage.
Assist with the daily care of household pets.
Provide feeding and other routine pet-related assistance as required.
Help maintain clean and organized pet areas and supplies.
