About The Position
Taylor Hospitality is hiring a Housekeeping / Room Attendant to join our team at the newly renovated Tygart Hotel in downtown Elkins, WV. If you take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to hear from you! As a Housekeeping / Room Attendant, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive guest experience. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and restocking guest rooms to brand standards, making beds, replacing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms. You will also dust, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness throughout rooms and hallways, report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost items, and respond to guest requests, ensuring high satisfaction. Additionally, you will restock your housekeeping cart and assist with inventories, and collaborate with the housekeeping supervisor and team to meet daily goals.
Requirements
- No formal education required.
- Previous housekeeping experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person!
- Attention to detail, reliability, and time management.
- Must be able to meet room-cleaning quotas and follow safety protocols.
- Basic English skills to read instructions and communicate with team members and guests.
- Able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, kneeling, standing, and moving for extended periods
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely (training provided)
- Must wear assigned uniform and name tag during shifts
Responsibilities
