About The Position

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a part-time Housekeeper for its Lowell, Massachusetts facility. The role performs day-to-day housekeeping activities to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility. The shift is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., 24 hours per week, with weekly pay of $16 per hour. No experience is necessary, and on-the-job training is provided. One year of housekeeping experience in a nursing home or other related medical facility is preferred but not required.

The facility follows federal and state staff vaccination guidelines. Staff must be up to date with COVID and flu vaccinations or acknowledge declining the vaccination(s). Northwood is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and encourages all individuals to apply.

Responsibilities

• Keep residents’ rooms neat, clean, and free from odor.
• Wet-mop floors daily.
• Shampoo and extract carpets according to schedule.
• Attend to spills immediately.
• Empty trash liners and clean containers.
• Clean beds and rails with disinfectant.
• Clean countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture, and over-bed tables.
• Strip, seal, and refinish floors according to schedule.
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent buildup.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, and similar items.
