About The Position
The Housekeeper is an entry-level opportunity on MultiCare’s Environmental Services team. The role helps ensure patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting a MultiCare facility. The schedule is Friday through Monday on the day shift, with an FTE of 0.8. The area assignment is 6M/7M relief. The position is at Tacoma General Hospital, a regional medical center in Tacoma, Washington. Housekeepers perform cleaning duties, maintain environmental surfaces in an orderly and sanitary condition, coordinate departmental tasks with patient care personnel and other support service departments, and communicate effectively with team members and nursing staff.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeper experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties and maintain environmental surfaces in an orderly and sanitary condition.
- Organize and complete required department tasks in coordination with services provided by patient care personnel and other support service departments.
- Communicate effectively with the team and nursing staff.
