About The Position
Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing located in Middle Island, NY is looking for a Full-time Housekeeper/Laundry Aide. This position is responsible for collecting, processing, laundering, and delivering linens to resident rooms. The role also involves performing day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards, ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe manner.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, launder and deliver linens to resident rooms.
- Wash, dry, pack and label all linens/resident clothing.
- Fold clean linens/resident clothing after washing and drying.
- Keep on record of all linen/resident clothing on a daily basis.
- Clean the washing machine and dryers on a daily basis.
- Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards.
- Follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner.
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in restrooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.
- Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner.
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
