Housekeeper / Laundry Aide
About The Position
We are looking to fill a part time position. The schedule will be housekeeping on Fridays and Saturdays from 8am - 4pm and laundry on Mondays from 6am - 2pm. In this role, you will maintain the cleanliness of the facility for residents, visitors and employees. You will be expected to take pride and ownership in the condition of the facility to ensure that it is a welcoming environment. All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
- Knowledge of infection control techniques.
- Ability to be patient and polite.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility.
- Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area.
- Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
- Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
- Performs other tasks as assigned, for example helping out in laundry for one shift a week.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
