About The Position
Performs a variety of housekeeping duties in order to maintain the hospital facilities in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner. Cleans and moves furniture, equipment and uses proper cleaning supplies according to established procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral instructions and understand simple written instructions.
- Able to follow work schedule which may vary with the assignments.
- Good command of the English language.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the hospitality field, (Healthcare preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ability to safely and competently perform assigned duties
- Ability to follow through when given directions
- Ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
- Ability to perform the basic cleaning functions within the patient setting.
- Ability to perform job function utilizing safe practices such as but not limited to: Proper use of wet floor signs, Safe Bio hazard waste handling, Linen bags change out ½ full
- Ability to respond to emergency situations involving either patient safety or building safety according to hospital policies and procedures and/or regulatory requirements
- Ability to be at work and be on time
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
- Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
