About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning public and employee restrooms and showers, cleaning glass in public and employee areas, and cleaning floor surfaces in public or employee spaces using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment. The role also involves dusting surfaces in the assigned area, emptying trash containers, inspecting furniture for damage, cleaning and maintaining lights, and posting caution signs when necessary. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for contacting other departments for urgent repairs, responding promptly to requests from guests and other departments, and identifying and reporting maintenance issues. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company and safety policies, completion of safety training, proper storage of flammable materials, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance. The Housekeeper must welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, and the associate must support team goals and ensure quality standards are met. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, push and pull work-related machinery, reach overhead and below the knees, visually inspect equipment, grasp and manipulate objects, move through narrow or elevated spaces, move up and down a ladder, and stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period.

Responsibilities

Clean public and employee restrooms and showers.
Clean glass in public and employee areas.
Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Dust surfaces in assigned area.
Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
Clean and maintain lights.
Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Properly store flammable materials.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
Assist individuals with disabilities.
