About The Position

Under broad supervision, the Housekeeper 3 performs duties to maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness in facilities and maintains supplies as needed. The role may serve as a job expert or organizational resource in assigned areas and may supervise or direct the work of others. It also plans, develops, schedules, and implements laundry services.

Requirements

• One year of experience as a lead worker in a related area of assignment; or one year of experience at the lower-level Housekeeper 2 (FES041) or an equivalent position.

Responsibilities

• Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Serves as a job expert or organizational resource in assigned areas.
• May supervise and/or direct the work of others.
• Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
• Ensures laundry, housekeeping, and floor equipment are in good working condition.
• Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.
• Makes specialized clothing and other items, such as restraining clothing, helmets, and surgical gowns.
• Mends and makes minor alterations to residents' clothing and other items.
• Makes simple repairs to upholstery and mattresses.
• Observes required safety precautions when disposing of contaminated refuse.
• Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment.
• Plans, develops, schedules, and implements laundry services.
