About The Position

We are a warm, close-knit, and growing family based in West Los Angeles seeking a proactive and reliable Household Manager & Family Assistant. This part-time role (15-20 hours per week) is crucial for supporting our busy household, which includes two working parents, a toddler, and another baby on the way. We value a professional who takes ownership, notices details, and can seamlessly transition between maintaining household order and engaging playfully with our child. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and a clear communicator, acting as a genuine partner in keeping our home running effortlessly. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare healthy dinners for the family 4-5 nights per week, including batch cooking.
  • Prepare school lunches and snacks for a young child (approximately 4-5 per week).
  • Perform grocery shopping and kitchen restocking.
  • Maintain kitchen clean-up and general maintenance.
  • Create and maintain household organization systems.
  • Perform daily resets and light tidying, including dishes, surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas.
  • Prepare the home for weekly housekeeper visits and manage seasonal clothing swaps.
  • Care for indoor plants.
  • Change batteries in children's toys and AC filters every three months.
  • Organize entryway and shared spaces.
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel.
  • Handle occasional donation drop-offs.
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies regularly.
  • Manage running household supply lists and household subscriptions/orders.
  • Monitor and reorder pet supplies, including food, treats, and medications.
  • Handle returns and dry cleaning.
  • Break down and recycle boxes.
  • Provide light childcare assistance on select weekdays when parents need coverage.
  • Offer occasional date night support.
  • Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks for school days.
  • Handle kid-related errands as needed.
  • Perform occasional school pick-up or drop-off.
  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry for the child, and assist with family laundry.
  • Rotate and put out fresh linens in coordination with the housekeeper.
  • Change out towels twice per week.
  • Perform ironing or steaming when needed.
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked.
  • Coordinate occasional deep cleaning projects with the housekeeper.
  • Assist with evaluating or onboarding a new housekeeper.
  • Undertake organizational projects for toys, gear, and shared spaces.
  • Monitor and reorder pet food, treats, and medications.
  • Be available to meet contractors or service providers at the home as needed.
