About The Position

We are a warm, busy family of three, soon to be four, living in Franklin, TN. Both parents work from home—mom is an entrepreneur who runs a successful online business and is looking for extra help to keep the household running smoothly as we prepare for the arrival of a new baby. Our family values flexibility, trust, and a deep love for our home and the activities that fill it. Much of our day revolves around caring for our 3-year-old, with nap time often being the main window for getting things done around the house. While we’re always balancing work and family life, we deeply value a well-organized, calm, and efficient home that helps us make the most of our time with both our kids and our work. We’re looking for a self-starter with a kind heart—someone who can handle a variety of household tasks and assist with light meal prep while helping keep the home running smoothly. A strong sense of honesty, reliability, and a positive, helpful spirit are important to us. As we prepare for our new addition, we hope to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of our household—someone who can anticipate needs and offer thoughtful support with warmth and care. We’re looking for a self-starting individual who can anticipate needs, read the room, and offer support with a proactive and efficient approach. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and a flexible mindset are important for this role. While there will be weekly priorities and routines, we value someone who can naturally identify where help is needed and jump in without much direction. We also appreciate someone who enjoys creating and implementing simple systems that help the home run smoothly. Prior house management or similar household support experience is preferred, though we value personality, initiative, and a strong work ethic just as highly. You should be capable of handling light physical tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing. We’re also seeking someone who enjoys being around young children and can naturally engage with our toddler through play, reading, and everyday interaction. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in helping maintain a calm, well-run home and being a dependable, proactive presence in the household.

Requirements

  • Must maintain a non-smoking household
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • CPR certification preferred or (willingness to obtain)
  • Willing to sign an NDA regarding privacy and discretion
  • Experience with infants/toddlers aged children

Responsibilities

  • Household Management & Organization: Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toy storage/rotation and play area)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness and ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Assist with donation coordination, Poshmark reselling support, and beauty inventory organization
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas
  • Maintain outdoor living spaces, including refreshing the screened-in patio weekly and keeping front and back porches tidy
  • Inventory Management & Errands: Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands including grocery shopping, returns and dry cleaning
  • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries
  • Track vehicle maintenance needs and keep cars organized and clean
  • Break down cardboard boxes and assist with miscellaneous household tasks as needed
  • Meal Planning & Preparation: Assist with light meal prep such as washing and preparing berries, salad ingredients, and simple proteins
  • Help prepare simple snacks or batch items (energy bites, oat muffins, etc.)
  • Support general cooking prep as needed (this is not a full meal planning role)
  • Laundry & Linen Care: Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Iron or steam clothing and prepare outfits when needed
  • Refresh bedding weekly and rotate towels
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
  • Vehicle Management: Schedule and oversee maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
  • Track registration, insurance, and service schedules
  • Childcare & Family Support: Light engagement with our toddler throughout the day (playtime, reading, walks)
  • Occasional backup supervision when parents are occupied (calls, meetings, date nights)
  • No transportation or driving required
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.)
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Clean humidifiers and washing machine monthly
  • Assist with special home organization projects as needed
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support: Assist with coordination of small events or gatherings
  • Light appointment scheduling assistance
  • Support resale and inventory management tasks such as organizing items for Poshmark, photographing pieces, preparing shipments, and coordinating donations
