About The Position

We are a warm and dynamic family of four living in Yorba Linda, CA, seeking a part-time Household Manager & Family Assistant to provide support with meal preparation, household organization, and family assistance. Both parents have demanding professional lives, and we need help managing day-to-day tasks, particularly in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy creating an organized and tidy home environment. This role involves meal support, laundry, family assistance including school pickups/drop-offs, household organization, inventory management, vehicle upkeep, special projects, and potential administrative support. We value long-term relationships and are looking for someone to become an integral part of our family.

Responsibilities

  • Batch prep breakfasts (5 days a week).
  • Dinner 3-4 days a week, fully cooked or prepped in advance.
  • Prepare healthy after school snacks.
  • Follow recipes for meal services kits like Gobble.
  • Grocery shopping for all meals.
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance.
  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry.
  • Ironing/steaming and special garment care.
  • Maintain tidy, well-stocked laundry areas.
  • School pickups/drop-offs within a 15-20 minute radius.
  • Provide light after school supervision.
  • Provide occasional back-up childcare for date nights.
  • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners.
  • Light tidying daily (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas).
  • Maintain seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding).
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs.
  • Packing and unpacking for travel - kids only.
  • Manage household organization systems.
  • Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies.
  • Manage household supply lists and subscriptions (e.g., Amazon, Costco, Target).
  • Handle returns.
  • Fueling, cleaning, and organizing family vehicles.
  • Occasional deep cleaning of fridge, oven, and baseboards.
  • Organizational projects.
  • Manage outdoor spaces seasonally.
  • Refresh garage, mudroom, entry.
  • Clean humidifiers/air purifiers.
  • Calendar management.
  • Potential future administrative support for projects at Mom's practice.
