About The Position

We are a warm and dynamic family of four living in Yorba Linda, CA, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Manager & Family Assistant to support our busy lives. Both parents have demanding professional careers, and with twin 12-year-old boys, we need assistance maintaining our home and managing daily tasks, particularly with meal support. The ideal candidate will take pride in creating an organized home, be proactive in anticipating needs, and foster a warm, respectful relationship with our children. This role involves significant meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry, household organization, and light family support, including school pick-ups/drop-offs and occasional back-up childcare. We value order, cleanliness, and consistency and are looking for someone who enjoys being in the kitchen and can manage household tasks independently. This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week, with the potential for a long-term partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Batch prep breakfasts (5 days a week).
  • Prepare dinner 3-4 days a week, sometimes fully cooked and ready to eat, other times prepped in advance.
  • Prepare healthy after-school snacks.
  • Follow recipes for meal service kits (e.g., Gobble).
  • Grocery shopping for all meals.
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance.
  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry, including ironing/steaming and special garment care.
  • Maintain tidy, well-stocked laundry areas.
  • Perform school pickups/drop-offs within a 15-20 minute radius using a family vehicle.
  • Provide light after-school supervision.
  • Offer occasional back-up childcare for date nights.
  • Perform daily resets and prepare the home for cleaners.
  • Light tidying daily (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas).
  • Maintain seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding).
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs.
  • Pack and unpack for children's travel.
  • Manage household organization systems.
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies.
  • Manage household supply lists and subscriptions (e.g., Amazon, Costco, Target).
  • Handle returns.
  • Manage vehicle upkeep: fueling, cleaning, and organizing family vehicles.
  • Perform occasional deep cleaning of fridge, oven, and baseboards.
  • Undertake organizational projects.
