Responsibilities

  • Manage household supply lists
  • Restock pantry staples, fridge, and household supplies
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, prescriptions
  • Drive teen to appointments/activities as needed
  • Check mailbox daily and package handling
  • Breakdown boxes
  • Create and maintain household organization systems
  • Daily resets and prepping home for weekly cleaners
  • Daily tidying: put away dishes, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas, etc.
  • Seasonal swaps of clothing, décor, bedding
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Handle event, holiday, guest prep
  • Unpacking from travel
  • Indoor plant care
  • Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc.
  • Prep healthy meals/snacks 2x/week
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Follow dietary needs/healthy cooking preferences
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance
  • Feed dogs and cats daily
  • Occasional walking of dogs 2x/day
  • Vet/grooming scheduling and pickup/dropoff
  • Administer medications
  • Maintain pet supplies
  • Oversee vendors (cleaners, contractors, landscapers, piano maintenance, etc.)
  • Research and coordinate repairs and quotes
  • Seasonal property maintenance
  • Manage outdoor spaces
  • Schedule vehicle maintenance
  • Fueling, cleaning, and organizing of vehicles
  • Track vehicle registration and insurance
  • As needed, wash, fold, and organize family laundry
  • As needed, ironing and steaming/special garment care
  • Maintain tidy and well stocked laundry areas
  • Occasional cleaning of fridge (checking expiration dates on food and household products)
  • Refresh garage/mudroom/entryway
  • Organizational projects (kids’ bedrooms, closets, NYC apartment, etc.)
  • Awareness of household schedules
  • Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as Household Manager
  • Occasional event and appointment coordination
