About The Position

This is a part-time (25-30 hours per week, 25 hours guaranteed) Household Manager & Family Assistant role supporting an active, health-focused family with two children, ages 8 and 11. The family has demanding professional roles and the children are involved in multiple year-round sports, requiring structure and systems to maintain smooth household operations. The family values clear communication, reliability, and treats household help as key team members. The role requires someone organized, reliable, and positive, who can manage afternoon chaos, including meal prep, evening drop-offs and pick-ups, daily tidying, and laundry. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and dependable, making evenings easier and keeping the home organized.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pick-ups and drop-offs for school, sports practices and activities
  • Prepare backpacks, sports bags, lunchboxes, and water bottles
  • Reset sports equipment and organize closets after practice
  • Assist with coordination of complex sports schedules involving multiple locations
  • Manage school drop-offs twice a week
  • Prepare healthy, balanced, protein-forward dinners ready by 3:30 p.m. (Tuesday-Thursday)
  • Pack school lunches daily in bento boxes for the following day
  • Assist with grocery lists and unpack deliveries
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance after meals
  • Complete ownership of family laundry system
  • Wash, fold, and organize clothing for two girls who share similar wardrobes
  • Rotate linens and towels weekly
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas
  • Daily resets including making beds, cleaning up breakfast, and unloading dishwasher
  • Light tidying: dishes, surfaces (including bathroom counters), and vacuuming high-traffic areas
  • Prepare home for biweekly cleaning service
  • Take out trash and maintain overall household order
  • Vacuum cat hair from furniture several times weekly
  • Scoop litter box daily
  • Manage and update household Skylight calendar
  • Remove outdated calendar events and maintain schedule accuracy
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed
  • Send updates via text as needed
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies as time allows
  • Manage household lists
  • Organize and maintain fridge cleanliness
  • Rotate expired food and manage leftovers
  • Prepare home for guests and holidays
  • Coordinate outdoor furniture setup and supply runs
  • Ensure laundry is complete before family travel
