Household Goods Trailer Driver
About The Position
Plan and execute assigned orders to exceed customer expectations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain profitability for McCollister’s and its members. Provides pick up and delivery services for a variety of household and household goods commodities. Strives to satisfy customers by providing individualized service according to established plans. Works with customers to execute service and resolve minor problems. Identifies significant customer service problems to the dispatcher and planner for resolution. Records the status of orders and completes associated paperwork thoroughly. Success in this position is measured through safety ratings, productivity, customer satisfaction, and claims rating. A valid Real ID is required for access to military bases.
Requirements
- A minimum 2 years’ experience desired
- Experience packing, loading, or driving for household functions
- Commercial Class A driver’s license
- McCollister’s driver certification
- Clean, safe driving record
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Positive communication skills
- Competent computer and ipad skills
- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Must be organized
- Proven track record of working in a team environment and autonomously
- Strong work ethic
- Customer service skills
- Very organized and work in a timely manner
- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Excellent telephone communication skills
- Team oriented and personally committed to continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and positively with all members of the organization
- Basic computer and typing skills for basic Microsoft Office and Google G Suite applications
