About The Position

We are a busy, entrepreneurial family of six seeking a steady, capable Household and Executive Operations Manager to help make the day-to-day feel smoother and more manageable. This role is designed to be flexible and autonomous, with work potentially taking place in our home, business offices, another suitable workspace, or remotely. We value clear boundaries, thoughtful use of time, and are looking for someone who can exercise good judgment about where each task is best completed. The primary responsibility is helping the family, household, and businesses run smoothly, with priorities evolving weekly. Success is measured by using sound judgment to determine where support is most valuable, creating helpful systems, improving processes, and quietly solving problems. Trust, flexibility, discretion, and strong communication are essential.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Household Organization & Maintenance: Maintain existing organizational systems, suggest improvements, perform daily resets, provide packing/unpacking support for travel, coordinate seasonal swaps, manage donation drop-offs, handle holiday/birthday/guest prep, organize mudroom/entryway/garage, complete seasonal organizational projects, maintain and clean humidifiers/air purifiers, replace batteries/light bulbs/smoke detectors, and create maintenance lists for the handyman.
  • Family Support: Provide school pick-ups/drop-offs, offer light supervision and backup childcare, prep backpacks/clothing/snacks, handle kid-related errands, and support children in building independence with chores.
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support: Manage the family calendar, provide light travel planning, assist with event coordination, support bi-weekly payroll for business employees, and provide hands-on support with business-related projects.
  • Inventory & Errands: Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies, manage household subscriptions/orders, handle returns/dry cleaning/gift shopping, sort mail/packages, pick up weekly flowers for offsite office, and stock offsite office pantry.
  • Meal Support: Prep healthy lunches for adults and daily school lunches for kids, perform grocery shopping according to family dietary preferences, and maintain a clean/organized kitchen.
  • Laundry & Linens: Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry, deferring to children's laundry responsibilities when they are home, and communicate status updates.
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Source and manage specialist deep-clean crews, complete deeper quarterly cleaning/organizational refreshes of specific areas, and complete quarterly seasonal organization projects.
  • Vendor & Property Oversight: Oversee existing vendors (housekeeper, landscaper, handyman), create/manage task lists for the handyman, conduct seasonal property walkthroughs, research/coordinate repair quotes, and manage tidiness of outdoor spaces.
  • Vehicle Upkeep: Schedule/coordinate routine maintenance, keep vehicles fueled/cleaned/organized, and track registration/insurance.
  • Pet Care: Coordinate with Rover for boarding, schedule grooming/veterinary appointments, and maintain pet supply inventory/administer medications.
