About The Position

Wellfound is hiring a Per Diem Night House Supervisor to join our team. These are 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of four shifts per month. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. This job is responsible for exercising delegated administrative responsibility and authority for the supervision of hospital personnel and functions within assigned facility, including patient care delivery, in the absence of the Administrator or Department Director. Serves as the leader and resource person in facilitating efficient operational activities throughout the facility. Effectively serves as an administrative representative knowledgeable about hospital/organizational policy and procedures.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelors preferred.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse licensed with Washington State or a current Compact License
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Minimum two year’s experience as Registered Nurse a psychiatric facility
Minimum one year in supervisory, management or other healthcare leadership capacity that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.

Responsibilities

Serves as a leader and key resource in facilitating efficient and safe operational activities throughout facility.
Identifies, addresses and resolves, in coordination with Centralized Staffing Team, staffing issues when necessary.
Plans and optimizes patient flow and placement, in coordination with Mission Control Bed Placement team and facility leadership (e.g. Directors, Managers and/or Charge Nurses).
Responds to disasters, codes, emergencies, and other issues outside normal practices and flow.
