About The Position
Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a part-time RN House Supervisor in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. This part-time position will work 48 hours bi-weekly on night shift.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN)
- Active RN license in state of practice
- 3 years' nursing experience in a pediatric clinical setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Nice To Haves
- 1 Year Nursing Supervisor experience
- 2 Years Critical Care experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Directing the daily activities of the Inpatient Unit.
- Oversight of care delivered to patients.
- Ensuring that staff, equipment, supplies and other resources are available and accessible for the provision of care.
- Fostering collaborative relationships with staff.
- Assisting with the professional development of nursing staff.
- Ensuring the quality of care provided meets or exceeds the standards established by The Joint Commission, CMS, SHC and other applicable governmental or regulatory agencies.
- May have authority beyond nursing departments during non-routine work hours.
- May serve as the top-ranking administrative representative for the hospital.
