About The Position

We are an active, warm, and loyal family of five, including three school-age children and two beloved dogs (a Goldendoodle and a French Bulldog). Our household thrives on organization, energy, and a lot of movement, and we need someone who can help us maintain a seamless flow in our busy lives. With frequent travel for work and a packed schedule of school, sports, and activities, we rely heavily on a structured routine but also need flexibility when things change. We value anticipating needs, whether it’s managing vendors, meal prep for dinners, or addressing household issues before they arise. Above all, we are looking for someone who will become an extension of our family, bringing consistency, warmth, and experience to our parenting style. We have been fortunate to have had a long-term relationship with our current help for 11 years, and we are deeply loyal to those who join our family. The role is not just about tasks, but about building a lasting bond and becoming a trusted partner for the long haul. Requirements

Maintain a smoke-free environment
Comfortable around water & must know how to swim
CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable with flexible hours, including weekends and potential travel
Energetic and adaptable, with a passion for working with children
High stamina and a positive, can-do attitude
Proactive, anticipating needs before being asked
Tech-savvy and organized, especially with managing family schedules
Confident in the kitchen and able to prepare meals for the family
Strong parenting instincts, with the ability to set loving but firm boundaries
Able to maintain a flexible schedule and adapt to changes on short notice

Responsibilities

School pickups and transportation to activities
Help with after-school snacks, meals, and homework supervision
Active childcare and engagement with children
Morning coverage as needed when parents are traveling or unavailable
Create and maintain household organizational systems
Daily resets and light tidying throughout the home
Dishes, cleaning surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas
Proactively identifying and reporting maintenance needs
Managing and coordinating with vendors and contractors
Seasonal clothing and bedding swaps
Donation coordination and package handling
Event, holiday, and guest preparation
Packing and unpacking for family travel
Battery and light bulb replacement
Plan and prepare approximately three dinners per week (two fully cooked, one prepped for family to finish)
School lunch preparation
Grocery shopping (in-person or online) and meal planning
Maintain organized, well-stocked refrigerator and pantry
Wash and prep produce for easy access
Restock groceries proactively based on family consumption patterns
Grocery shopping based on weekly meal plan
Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
Returns, prepare dry cleaning for pickup and drop off, and gift shopping
Mail handling and package breakdown
Wash, dry, fold, and put away children's laundry (and finish family laundry if not finished)
Rotate children's bed linens
Keep laundry area well-stocked with supplies
Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards) or noting when needed
Garage and entryway organization
Humidifier and air purifier maintenance
Toy and gear organization and regular purges
Seasonal pool preparation and cleanup
Organize pool toys and floats
Occasional tidying of family vehicle
Feed dogs daily
Walk dogs daily (10-20 minutes, highly valued if willing)
Coordinate with mobile groomer for pet care
Schedule and manage vet appointments for dogs as needed
Use the family car for pet-related errands and appointments
Calendar management
Coordinate doctor appointments for children
