About The Position

We are a busy family of four in Clayton, Missouri, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time House Manager to help manage the daily details of our household. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization and takes pride in maintaining a well-run home. While this is not a primary childcare role, a friendly demeanor and understanding of family dynamics are appreciated. The goal is to establish routines and systems that allow the family to spend more quality time together, focusing on careers and family life. The House Manager will be responsible for household organization, inventory management, errands, meal support, laundry, vendor oversight, and administrative/event support.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily tidiness throughout the home, focusing on common areas.
  • Prepare home for weekly house cleaners.
  • Coordinate donation drop-offs.
  • Manage seasonal clothing swaps for children.
  • Provide transportation for children on a rare basis, as needed.
  • Walk dog occasionally.
  • Manage pet supply inventory.
  • Run miscellaneous errands.
  • Restock all household supplies and maintain a running list.
  • Create grocery lists and shop for groceries.
  • Put groceries away and prep fruits and vegetables.
  • Prepare simple slow cooker meals and batch meal prep for lunches/breakfasts.
  • Prep school lunches for children.
  • Collect, wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry.
  • Provide special care for garments (steam, iron, stain treat).
  • Coordinate with dry cleaning pickup/delivery service.
  • Rotate bed linens and towels, and remake beds.
  • Serve as on-site contact for home maintenance vendors.
  • Coordinate and schedule annual maintenance services.
  • Create and manage a routine maintenance calendar for the home.
  • Tidy outdoor space before entertaining.
  • Assist with coordination for hosting events.
  • Prepare home for entertaining.
  • Book reservations for travel or local entertainment.
  • Track receipts for work-related expenses.
  • Perform periodic toy rotation and decluttering.
  • Deep clean humidifiers and espresso machine.
  • Clean kitchen cabinets.
