About The Position

We are a family of three living in Santa Monica seeking a part-time House Manager & Meal Prep professional to help create ease and order in our busy home. This role involves managing household operations, including organization, vendor coordination, laundry, and meal preparation. The ideal candidate is intuitive, self-directed, and takes pride in creating systems that keep a home running effortlessly. We value reliability, discretion, and consistency, and are looking for someone who can seamlessly integrate into our daily rhythm while maintaining a calm and professional presence. This position offers flexibility within a proposed schedule and compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and/or maintain household organization systems.
  • Perform daily resets (making beds, unloading dishwasher) and prepare the home for weekly cleaning service.
  • Light tidying (dishes, wiping surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas).
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs.
  • Assist with event/holiday/guest preparation as needed.
  • Perform indoor plant care.
  • Conduct occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards).
  • Clean humidifiers/air purifiers.
  • Undertake organizational projects (toys, gear).
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies.
  • Manage running household supply lists.
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target).
  • Drop off returns and pick-up/drop-off dry cleaning.
  • Break down boxes, sort, and recycle.
  • Meal prep for 3-4 dinners per week, cooked fresh and accommodating dietary needs.
  • Prepare snacks for after-school needs.
  • Perform grocery shopping and kitchen organization.
  • Follow family dietary preferences (paleo, veggie-forward, minimal dairy).
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry.
  • Perform ironing/steaming and special garment care.
  • Manage linen rotation.
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas.
  • Perform cat care (feeding, litter boxes, grooming coordination).
  • Provide pet sitting during travel (flexible support).
  • Schedule vehicle maintenance.
  • Perform fueling, cleaning, and organizing of vehicles.
  • Oversee cleaners, contractors, and landscapers.
  • Research and coordinate repairs and quotes.
  • Manage seasonal property maintenance.
  • Manage outdoor spaces.
