About The Position

We are a warm and intentional family, balancing the demands of a fast-paced lifestyle based in Tacoma, Washington. Our family includes two young daughters, one toddler and one newborn, and life right now is full, layered, and a beautiful juggle. One parent runs a business from a home office on the property, while the other works demanding hours and travels frequently. We have high expectations of ourselves and others and are deeply committed to building a home environment that feels calm and grounded, even on the busiest days. We approach parenting with intentionality. We follow Montessori principles, keep screens out of our children's daily routine, and prioritize emotional attunement, child-led exploration, and gentle, consistent boundaries. Our household runs on rhythm, communication, and mutual respect. We value trust above all else, and we understand that trust is built over time through consistency and integrity. We are direct communicators and value transparency. Mom is looking for a right hand, someone who can help ease the mental load of running the household, keeping everything running smoothly from meal prep to laundry, errands, and everything in between. This role is essential in maintaining harmony and order in our home, allowing us to spend more quality time together as a family. We are looking to bring someone into our home who understands what it means to be a professional in a private household setting — someone who shows up, understands healthy boundaries, sees what needs to be done, and does it without being asked.

Requirements

Maintain a smoke-free and fragrance free environment
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Fully vaccinated (including COVID & flu)
CPR and First Aid certified
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proactive and forward-thinking — you see what’s needed before being asked
Friendly, warm, and genuinely enjoy being around children
Comfortable taking direction but also confident making decisions
A great communicator who’s reliable and punctual
Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills
Confident and decisive, with the ability to provide clear guidance when needed
Maintains a calm, steady pace - responsive and proactive without creating unnecessary urgency.
Experienced with young children — particularly infants and toddlers
Understands emotional co-regulation, redirection, and child-led exploration.
Coachable and receive direct feedback with openness rather than defensiveness.
Understands that clarity is kindness.
Bring your own standards to the role and hold yourself accountable to them without needing to be reminded.

Pick-ups/drop-offs
Light supervision / back-up childcare
Prep backpacks/clothing/snacks
Kid-related errands
Create and/or Maintain household organization systems
Daily resets and prep home for cleaners — reset stations in detail, tidying common areas and children’s rooms
Light cleaning (dishes, surfaces, vacuum and mop high-traffic areas)
Seasonal swaps (décor, bedding)
Collaborate with mom for Event/holiday/guest prep
Indoor plant care
Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)
Refresh mudroom/entry
Clean humidifiers/air purifiers/ robot-vacuums
Organizational projects (toys, gear) - sanitize areas, toys 1x per week
Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
Manage running household supply lists
Mail and package handling
Breakdown boxes
Prep healthy meals/snacks from a recipe book 2-3 times per week
