About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian for the Central New Jersey area. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. Lap of Love is a veterinarian-founded and owned company that prioritizes both professional fulfillment and personal freedom, allowing veterinarians to practice with purpose while maintaining a balanced life. The position is part of a large community of veterinarians and support professionals, with ongoing training, mentorship, and dedicated practice managers. Key aspects of the role include flexible scheduling (2-5 days per week), an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day to allow for more family time and less paperwork, and deeply appreciated, emotionally fulfilling work. Support systems include comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Manage paperwork efficiently to maximize time with families.
