About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian in the Jersey Shore, NJ area. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and work-life balance. As part of a community of over 400 veterinarians and support professionals, you will receive ongoing training, mentorship, and support from dedicated practice managers and a 24/7 Support Center. This role allows for un-rushed appointments, providing more time with families and less time on paperwork, leading to deeply appreciated and emotionally fulfilling work.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
• Manage paperwork efficiently to maximize time with families.
