Ensure all public areas are clean and maintained according to the standards of the hotel. This role involves performing general cleaning duties in public areas, storage areas, and administrative areas, including cleaning rooms, hallways, lobby, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and the fitness center. The House Attendant is responsible for supplying their own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift and ensuring work areas are clean upon completion. Additionally, they need to be knowledgeable about the hotel to answer guest inquiries and requests, run supplies and service items to guestrooms as requested, dust furniture and fixtures, polish metalwork and furniture, and vacuum floors. The position also participates in the guest room Deep Cleaning program, performs deep cleaning tasks and special projects, assists with carpet cleaning and extraction, strips rooms for Room Attendants upon check out, collects soiled linens, receives and stores linen supplies, assists Room Attendants with additional items, removes and disposes of trash, and cleans outside areas including the porte cochere and other arrival areas. They also ensure staff member break areas and administrative offices are clean and well maintained. All other duties assigned by managers and supervisors are also part of the role.
