About The Position

The Room Attendant (Asistente de servicio de habitaciones) is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to ensure they meet established standards. This role involves interacting warmly with guests, cleaning rooms efficiently, changing linens, cleaning and polishing furnishings, and reporting maintenance needs. The position also requires processing lost and found items, practicing safe work habits, and potentially assisting with other housekeeping or lobby tasks during staff shortages. A key focus is on guest satisfaction and ensuring overall guest contentment.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training is required.
  • Understand and communicate in English.

  • High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests when interacting with a warm and friendly greeting.
  • Clean guest rooms according to standards within the assigned time by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Change linens and replace towels and other amenities.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls, or equipment.
  • Notify managers of the need for repairs in guest rooms.
  • Process guests' forgotten items in rooms according to the lost and found policy.
  • Practice safe work habits, use protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Perform housekeeping and lobby attendant duties when understaffed or during peak periods.
  • Consider guest satisfaction scores and work to increase overall and departmental guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
